COVID-19 Information
We are starting to see another rise in covid-19 cases and we need to continue to be cautious and follow the direction provided by the provincial health officer (PHO), the BC Centre for Disease Control (BCCDC) and WorkSafeBC.
We need to continue to prioritize social distancing so when possible, we encourage the use of TeleHealth, unless the necessary care can only be provided in-person.
We have taken several steps to reduce or mitigate risk of spreading the virus.
1) COVID-19 screening & consent form
We will require everyone to complete this screening and consent form in advance of arrival. It will be emailed to the address on file 2-hours before your appointment time. Please complete in advance, so that the therapist can review and contact you with any concerns.
2) Wear a face mask
To prevent any potential contamination or spread of respiratory droplets, properly fitting masks are mandatory. If you do not have an appropriate mask, you will be able to purchase one.
3a) Arrive on time (in-clinic physiotherapy)
If you have an appointment in Merritt, please arrive 2-minutes before your scheduled treatment time. Please leave any unnecessary personal items (i.e. bags, purses) in your car. Please arrive alone.
3b) Create a suitable space (mobile physiotherapy)
Expect the therapist to arrive no more than 5-minutes before your scheduled treatment time. Please have an appropriate space for the therapist to enter and set-up, with little to no clutter.
4) Sanitize or wash your hands
Please use the hand sanitizer the moment you enter the clinic. Use soap and water if your hands are visibly soiled.
5) Contactless payment
In order to avoid all contact, we are asking for payment by credit card or e-transfer.
6) Physical distancing
To minimize the risk of the spread of the virus, please maintain a distance of at least 2 metres (6 feet) from other patients and staff at all times.
Having Symptoms?
If you have an in-person appointment, but are having symptoms of the common cold, influenza, COVID-19, or other infectious respiratory disease you must reschedule. Call 778-686-0586 or contact us or visit our booking site to reschedule your appointment. There will be no late cancellation fee when cancelling for this reason.
Please also visit the BCCDC website for up-to-date information on self-assessment (https://bc.thrive.health/covid19app/selfcheck) support. You will find other useful COVID-19 resources by calling 8-1-1 or visiting healthlinkbc.ca. If you have a chronic health condition an informational handout can be found on the BCCDC website.
When rescheduling your appointment it must be delayed until 10 days from the onset of symptoms AND until symptoms resolve, whichever is longer.
